I’m Nicolas Camacho. I live in Los Angeles California, where I learn to invent.
I've loved tinkering and making things since I was a baby. My first invention was a street cleaner. At age two, I attached a broom to my red Little Tikes Car, and boy was my backyard clean.
As I grew up, I became obsessed with science, and learning about the secrets of the universe. It's always been interesting to me that some turn away from the stars instead of looking towards them.
In high school, I joined FRC team 3512 Spartatroniks. I developed a passion for engineering. Finally I could appply science with a team instead of just thinking about it! I participated all four years, and led the team in my Junior year as captain. We placed top 96 in the world out of over 8000 active teams.
Today, I attend UCLA, where I have led the 3-lb combat robotics club teaching 50+ students on 13 teams to design, build, and compete 3lb Battlebots. Currently, I am the Lab Manager for ASME. I manage the lab space for 6 of our technical projects and train students on machine safety.
